Bell Bird Hill Lookout

Bell Bird Hill Lookout is a stunning vantage point situated along Bell's Line of Road, roughly 3.5 kilometres northwest of Kurrajong. Perched at 450 metres above sea level, this scenic spot provides sweeping views across the Sydney basin — and on a clear day, you might even catch a glimpse of Sydney in the distance. It's an ideal place to pause and take in the surroundings before continuing your journey to Mount Tomah or Bilpin. The lookout platform faces east and northeast, offering photographers an easily accessible, unobstructed view — especially magical at sunrise. Adding to the peaceful bushland setting are the melodic calls of bellbirds, which can often be heard from the trees that blanket the slope below. If you're lucky, you might spot one during your visit. The lookout is also a great spot for night photography, offering a brilliant view of the city lights on clear evenings. There's plenty of parking available, as well as public restrooms, making it a convenient and memorable stop for travellers.
