Gemstones can be found across the region however Grabben Gullen Creek is widely recognised as yielding sapphires along with a range of other semi-precious stones.
Turn off Sapphire Road at the bridge down to the Grabben Gullen Creek.
No licence is required to fossick in New South Wales however fossickers are required to comply with the Mining Act 1992 and the Mining Regulation 2016.
