Description

Located in Penneshaw, the jetty was built in 1902 and has been strengthened and lengthed several times over the years. It is used as the main landing point for ferries accessing Kangaroo Island and is also used by the Cruise Ship Industry. Depending on the time of year, the jetty can offer whiting, flathead, snook, garfish, tommies, trevally, salmon, mullet and large silver drummer. The adjacent breakwater yields salmon, whiting, tommies, school sharks and occasional yellowtail kingfish, while beach casters in the bay can expect to find mullet, flathead and salmon of varying sizes.
