Farquhar Inlet

Located at the southern entrance to the Manning River, Farquhar Inlet is a renowned fishing spot. There is plenty of calm water to enjoy all types of boating and watercraft activities. The Manning River is formed in Barrington Tops at the highest point of the Barrington Coast. At Taree, the river splits and becomes a double delta, the only one in the southern hemisphere, creating two separate entrances to the river: Harrington Inlet (north) and Farquhar Inlet (south). Farquhar Inlet is also a camping ground that consists of 25 campsites set amongst shady trees with a toilet available. Access to the park is by 4WD along the Manning Point beach (only on low tide) or by boat. Access via Old Bar is only possible when the entrance is closed. All vehicles require a beach permit issued from MidCoast Council. Due to the little tern colony who visit here over the summer months, no pets are allowed.
