Now in its fifth year, Aussie Macro Photos boasts the most unique tours in Cairns. Nature enthusiasts and photographers alike rate Let's Go Buggin Tours as their highlight experience in the Wet Tropics. A fast-track way to get up close and personal with all the little things that live in the Cairns Botanic Gardens. The smorgasbord of native wildlife seen is abundant and varied. From beatles to bugs, frogs to fungi, spiders to reptiles… tour participants are wowed by creatures they never knew existed. By far the most popular tour is the Let's Go Buggin Night Walks in which participants see creatures that are rarely seen including bizarre Net-casting Spiders and Stick Insects as well as other nocturnal animals like Scrub Pythons, Striped Possums, Papuan Frogmouths to name a few. Specialised macro photography equipment is available for hire and with Bridgette's settings and assistance, participants can get incredible photos of their experience.
