Kalangadoo's weekly farmer's market has great benefits both to the community and to local farmers, artists and craftspeople.
It stimulates profitable trading and promotes viability and business growth of independent primary producers, home gardeners and makers of value-added products.
The market supplies a regular supply of fresh food to customers and is an avenue for local artists and artisans to sell their work. It provides growth of other businesses in Kalangadoo and allows volunteer work for the community, giving a rewarding experience to tourists.
The cafe is a meeting venue and social occasion for many visitors, and the BBQ lures hungry customers for a snack.
The market began on the 9th of April 2011 and is continuing to be a success to this day. The KFM is located on Eliza Street in Kalangadoo and can easily be found by following the signs.
