Description

This stretch of the Murray River is named after the government surveyor Francis Joseph Packard who tragically drowned here in 1866 while surveying the eastern border of South Australia. Dotted with large, shady gum trees, the riverbank here is a popular fishing, camping and swimming spot for locals and visitors alike.
