Lake Hamilton

Lake Hamilton is located at the eastern end of Hamilton and is surrounded by 25 hectares of parkland. An attractive landscaped manmade lake used for various water-based activities featuring an excellent walking/bike track of 4.2km. The Lakes Edge Adventure Playground, Hamilton Skate Park and the Dog Park are one of several opportunities for families to enjoy the outdoor surrounds of the lake. Water-based sports are well catered for with a boat ramp, toilets and shower facilities located off the Mill Road entry. You can also participate in the Hamilton Park Run, which is a weekly 5km run around the lake free for anyone to participate. Activities on the lake include fishing, waterskiing, sailing, rowing, windsurfing, canoeing and swimming. Camping is not permitted around Lake Hamilton.
