Description

The Whale Festival kicks off with the annual ‘Blessing of the Fleet’ ceremony at the Urangan Boat Harbour in Hervey Bay. The Blessing of the Fleet is a family-friendly ‘Marina Party’ event where guests can familiarise themselves with the vessels that host a marine mecca, enjoy various fun activities for all ages, food stalls, and live music. The festivities culminate with a float-by of the Whale Fleet and other boats, receiving blessings from a local minister to ensure safe and successful tours during the upcoming Whale Watching season.
