Description

In celebration of the Write Around the Murray (WAM) Festival, explore the 'Visual Narratives' behind the murals and sculptures of Albury. The Visual Narratives - Guided Public Art Tour is a wonderful way to hear the stories about each work and understand how important they are to Albury city and its community. You will encounter a selection of interesting and thought-provoking works. The tour commences outside Albury's Library Museum and visits the laser cut steel installation of Bruce Dawn's poem 'Living Rivers', 'Re/Place Pavilion' in QEII square, the 'Mighty Murray Mural' by Peter Day, and the lightbox installation of 'The Walk Off' by Glennys Briggs. You will also see the 'Matriarchal Strength' by Teisha Maksymow-McGuiness in Amp lane, the 'Four Fellas' mural by Burg in Volt lane, 'Little Egret' by Chris Henderson, and 'Water Ways' by Nat Ward, ending the tour outside of CityWalk arcade along Volt Lane. Uncover the visual narratives behind Albury!
