Basket Swamp Falls, Boonoo State Forest

Basket Swamp Falls is approximately a 40-minute drive (30 kilometres) from Tenterfield in Boonoo State Forest. These falls are a stunning part of the Basket Swamp Creek system. This system drains a large area (approximately 200 hectares) of waterlogged heath and sedge species, filtering rainfall from the tablelands into the Clarence River catchment. Visitors can access the Falls via Basket Swamp Trail, a 10-minute drive from the Basket Swamp visitor area in Boonoo State Forest. Basket Swamp visitor area offers rustic facilities for a picnic or short-stay camping.
