Garden of St Erth

The Garden of St Erth is a beautiful historic house and garden, a short drive from Daylesford and Ballarat. Explore the gardens and discover an extraordinary range of espaliered fruit, heirloom vegetables and drought-tolerant flowers. Naturalised daffodils carpet the lawns in September, grasses and perennials create a stunning border year-round, and the month of May marks the end of the gardening year with a blaze of autumn-coloured trees and late perennials. Cocooned in the Wombat State Forest, the bush garden plays host to a variety of native birds, as well as being a place of restful contemplation. Visit the nursery and garden shop and ask the knowledgeable staff all of your gardening questions. There is a huge selection of heirloom seeds and plants available for you to take home. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays you can enjoy coffee, cakes, scones and light lunches in their café. Picnics are available to purchase on other days throughout the week to enjoy in their outdoor seating areas surrounded by the beauty of the gardens.
