New Norcia Benedictine Community

New Norcia is the only monastic town of its type in Australia. It is a beautiful, picturesque, historic town owned and operated by a community of Benedictine monks. New Norcia is home to many historic buildings dating back to 1847, including the New Norcia Hostel and the old Byzantine and Gothic-style colleges. Since the closure of the schools, the town has become a very popular tourist destination, with daily guided tours, a Museum and Art Gallery, and overnight accommodation in the Monastery Guesthouse. Groups can be accommodated in a variety of upgraded accommodation options, including catering and special events. New Norcia is an hour and a half drive north of Perth through picturesque farmlands and quaint country towns.
