Description

Lake Walyungup is a salt lake about 8.6 kilometres south-east of Rockingham and is popular with land sailors. This shallow saline lake is bound in the north by Safety Bay Road and in the east by Mandurah Road and features a 5.8-kilometre walking trail popular with locals and dog walkers. There isn’t much shade here, so it's important to bring a hat, sunscreen and water along with you when you visit. This location is sometimes used for land sailing and bike riding due to its abundance of open space.
