Description

Two virtual-guided interpretive walking trails south of Whyalla. Mangrove forests at these locations line tidal creeks that flow into salty clay pans where vegetation is dominated by samphire shrublands and cyanobacterial mats. This is important part of Barngarla country and also a silent witness to the early European exploration. Use your smart phone to scan the QR codes on the trail marker posts to learn the history and secrets of saltmarsh ecology.
