Big Woody Hiking Tour

An exclusive experience with Salty Safaris starting with a thrilling boat ride departing Hervey Bay Marina and winding your way across to Big Woody island where you will land on Jeffries Beach. Quiet and secluded, this beach is the perfect location to start your scenic foreshore walk to Middle Bluff at the base of the historic Big Woody lighthouse trail. Upon arrival at the gas shed, there will be a short break before hiking up the hill to the lighthouse. At the top, you can feel the history behind this historic lighthouse and how vital it was in the settlement of Maryborough and the Fraser Coast region.
