Description

Cruise the Lower River Murray on this unique 1908 wood-fired heritage Paddle Steamer. The paddle steamer Oscar 'W' was built in 1908 by Franz Oscar Wallin (commonly known as Charlie Wallin) at Echuca. He named the vessel after his son Oscar whom he hoped would continue his shipping business. However, young Oscar was killed in World War I. Since then, P.S. Oscar 'W' has remained a symbol of resilience and legacy, offering visitors a unique glimpse into Australia's rich maritime history. Located in Goolwa, Australia, this iconic landmark stands as a testament to the Wallin family's enduring spirit.
