The 2025 iteration of Barring Yanabul cracks open the heart of Narrm/Melbourne, setting streets and laneways alight with installations, visual arts, music, drag, dance and maybe, something you've never ever seen before.
As the sun falls, First Nations creatives move through the city, breaking away from colonial constructs to give the stories of now back to country, to the lands that have held them for over 80,000 years.
The event will be held across various locations in Melbourne's CBD. With performances at The Victoria Hotel (215 Little Collins Street), RMIT Design Archives Window Gallery (RMIT University, Melbourne City Campus, Building 100, 154 Victoria Street, Carlton VIC 3053), Royal Lane (Between Lt Collins and Bourke Street), Checker Box (Corner of Swanston Street & Little Collins Street), and Bourke Street Mall (Located between Swanston and Elizabeth Street).
A map and detailed performance times will be released closer to the date.
