Friday evening Blacksmithing with Rob Nansen: Jesse's Stump

Rob Nansen from Jesse's Stump Blacksmithing and Bush Furniture is offering two workshops over the weekend. A Friday night taster or a weeklong workshop to explore blacksmithing in more detail. Come for a fun two-hour blacksmithing taster workshop on Friday night with a complimentary glass of wine. Through forging a traditional S hook, you will learn beginner forging techniques, including hammer and tong use heating, shaping, bending twisting and beeswax finish. S-hooks are great for hanging pot plants r using in the kitchen. All forging equipment, materials and safety gloves and goggles provide. Participants are asked to wear long sleeves and pants and not flammable clothing, with closed -toe shoes and long hair tied back.
