Description
Explore the ancient paths of Noongar Boodjar through sound, story and striking visuals.
To mark National Reconciliation Week, KAYA returns for its second year with an extended program, inviting audiences on a powerful journey through the landscapes and legends of Noongar Boodjar.
This immersive experience weaves together storytelling, music and breathtaking projected visuals, celebrating the enduring spirit of Noongar culture.
Featuring the Sounds of Marawar, KAYA is a vibrant showcase of tradition and talent, where ancient stories meet contemporary artistry in a spectacle of sound and movement.
This free, family-friendly event features an outstanding lineup of emerging and established Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, including Bobby Bennell, Tahlia Pabai, Indigo Ellis and Gina Williams & Guy Ghouse.
Renowned for his masterful storytelling through music, Phil Walleystack leads the performance with an electrifying blend of history and modernity. The Sounds of Marawar—a string quartet founded by Walleystack and Grammy-winning violinist Emily Gelineau—brings Noongar chants and didgeridoo to life with stunning compositions.
KAYA is presented by Aboriginal Shows and Productions and proudly supported by Tourism WA.
