Fibre Optic Symphonic Orchestra

A striking new chapter in regional art and culture is arriving in Mildura this April, with the opening of the Fibre Optic Symphonic Orchestra (FOSO). Launching on April 24, the world-first immersive installation is a collaboration between Mildura Rural City Council and Wentworth Shire Council, bringing together art, music and technology in a truly unique way. Created by renowned Australian-English artist Bruce Munro, FOSO is a breathtaking fusion of light and sound, an orchestral experience inspired by the colours and rhythms of the Australian landscape. The installation is paired with an original score by internationally acclaimed composer Nainita Desai, creating a powerful multi-sensory journey for visitors. Bruce Munro also collaborated on Mildura's Trail of Lights, which opened last April, weaving his signature style into the region's stunning natural landscape.
