Bundaberg North Burnett Region

Mon Repos Beach holds the largest loggerhead turtle rookery in the South Pacific, rangers guiding small groups each summer to watch nesting and hatching. Offshore, Lady Elliot Island is one of the few reef sites where manta rays show up year-round. Bundaberg's own rum distillery has stood as a landmark for well over a century. Inland, the North Burnett keeps its own slower rhythm, cattle country and quiet rivers worth a line and a rod.
