Two hectares of the old goldfield have been wonderfully preserved and made safe for public access. There is approximately 450 metres of boardwalks and compacted pathways, which are mostly wheelchair accessible. Meander through the beautiful tree ferns and established bloodwood forest. Admission is by guided tour only, to satisfy insurance requirements and so the guides can tell the Montreal story: A story of history, mystery and fascinating anecdotes of times gone by.
