Walkabout Cultural Adventures Ngana Julaymba Dungay tour explores the southern side of the Daintree river and Mossman area. Aboriginal guides provide a guided walk through the southern section of the Daintree rainforest along the Mossman Gorge and along local coastal habitats, including beaches and mangrove forests, explaining the cultural connection to country. Gain an insight into how the Kuku Yalanji people see and use the natural environment, learn about different foods and medicines, sample seasonal bush tucker, and try traditional Aboriginal hunting practices. Learn the history, culture and traditions of the local Aboriginal people and the area. Walk through the rainforest and coastal habitats learning about the different environments, different foods and medicines utilised from nature, sample some seasonal bush tucker, collect shellfish and learn traditional Aboriginal hunting practices, have a go at spear throwing and if you are lucky, catch a mud crab.
