Mt Walsh provides a stunning backdrop to the Biggenden region and is well worth a trip to the day use area to take a hike up the Mountain or just to stop a while and have a picnic. This rugged park has spectacular exposed granite outcrops and cliffs. The 'Bluff' area of Mount Walsh, at the park's northern end, is a prominent landmark and can be seen from Biggenden. There are many varied experiences you can have in this quiet country town, check out a large private collection of dolls and toys at the Doll and Toy Museum on Fredrick Street or pick up some local historical knowledge at the Museum on George Street. If you love everything trains, the Chowey Railway Bridge is the first of its kind in Australia and was opened in 1905 with perfectly constructed concrete arches. There is a day picnic area to take in the vistas and soak up the history. Stay overnight here and head off to Paradise Dam in the morning.
