Kinchant Dam is located 41 kilometres west of Mackay and can easily be reached on a 45 minute drive starting on National Highway A1. Take the Peak Downs Highway for 25 minutes and then turn on to Marian-Eton Road to Kinchant Dam Road. You can choose from swimming, fishing, boating, going for a picnic or staying the night at the large camping area. Kinchant Dam is also home to one of the best downhill bike circuits in Queensland so be sure to bring your bike!
