Teeming with beauty, history and country spirit, visit Schuhs Lookout off Monto-Mount Perry Road for an overview of the valley. The Mount Perry Bicentennial museum pays homage to the town's mining history with ancient equipment such as copper stampers. The Monto Mount Perry Road leads you to the Burnett Highway and on to the beef capital of the Burnett at Eidsvold. It's fitting that the story one of Australia's legendary bushman RM Williams is told here, at the RM Williams Australian Bush Learning Centre. The Interpretive Centre here tells the tale of the man and his journey as well as his relationship with the local Aborigines with whom he lived. There's also training workshops in bush skills such as leatherwork, blacksmithing, whip making and arts and crafts. Share in an Aboriginal cultural experience through dance, song, music and stories.
