Spend two days four-wheel drive vehicle touring the magnificent Flinders Ranges. Learn the ancient and geological history of the region enjoy spectacular untouched scenery and bush walking. Tour highlights include travel to the Wilpena Pound Resort, via Port Pirie, Port Germein and Port Augusta (the crossroads of Australia). At Port Augusta explore the Flinders Ranges and Outback at the Wadlata Outback Centre's Tunnel of Time. Continue toward Wilpena Pound via Quorn and Hawker. From Hawker visit Kanyaka Ruins and Death Rock. Enjoy a peaceful bushwalk to Wangarra Lookouts and the Hill Homestead. Visit Sacred Canyon and Arkaroo Rock (optional) major Aboriginal art sites. Travel the geological trail through the Brachina Gorge tracing the geological history of the area for hundreds of millions of years. Continue to the Prairie Hotel at Parachilna and taste some Aussie food (tucker). Return to Adelaide via Port Augusta arriving approximately 6pm.
