We spend seven days in outback Australia including Woomera, Glendambo, Coober Pedy in the heart of South Australia's vast outback as well as Ayers Rock. Tour highlights include travel to Glendambo via Port Pirie, Port Germein and Port Augusta (the crossroads of Australia). In Port Augusta explore the Flinders Ranges and Outback at the Wadlata Outback Centre's Tunnel of Time. Continue to Coober Pedy in the heart of South Australia's vast outback; an opal wonderland, with more than 30 opal shops, visit mines and interpretive centers. See the Breakaway Reserve and Moon Plain and stay in underground accommodation. Spend two days in Uluru/Ayers Rock and Uluru/Kata Tjuta National Park, arriving in time to see the magical sunset, learn about Aboriginal culture and environment on a two-hour tour with an Aboriginal guide. Walk around the base of Uluru/Ayers Rock, optional tours at own expense are available. Return to Adelaide via Port Augusta at approximately 7pm.
