The opal wonderland of Coober Pedy in the heart of South Australia's vast outback, visit opal mines and interpretive centres and stay in underground accommodation. See the Breakaway's Reserve and Moon Plain. Spend two days in Uluru/Ayers Rock and the Kata Tjuta National Park with plenty of time to appreciate the Aboriginal culture and environment of the region including a two-hour tour with an Aboriginal guide, a walk around the base of Uluru/Ayers Rock.
