Explore the untouched oasis on the Southern-most island of the Great Barrier Reef, Lady Musgrave Island. She has a year round tidal access by small boat in the calm lagoon which is only metres from the reefs edge. You can enjoy a spot of beach front whale watching from June through to November. As the whales pass the Fraser Coast along their migration to Antarctica, they enjoy the warm shallow Musgrave water and are sure to put on a show. You can also savour in the year-round experience of swimming with turtles. From October through to February, you will enjoy an array of turtles flooding the island for their breeding seasons, however, you will experience the hatchlings emerging from their nests from December through to May. Lady Musgrave is also known for its abundance of seabird life.If you would like to camp on Lady Musgrave Island, all essentials must be carried to the island as there are no facilities available.
