Spend today exploring the rainforest and town of Eungella, with more than 20 kilometres of walking tracks throughout Eungella National Park waiting to be explored! For the experienced climber, the 56 kilometre Mackay Great Highlands Walk can be accessed here, where dramatic cliffs, rugged peaks, spires and sensational highland views can be experienced. Make sure you venture to the variety of viewing platforms at Broken River for a chance to see the native Platypus gliding through the water! After a morning of bush walking and platypus spotting, enjoy lunch at a local cafe or restaurant overlooking the mist-shrouded peaks of the Pioneer Valley. Once heading back into town turn off the Mackay-Eungella Road at Gargett heading towards Eton for more fast-paced activities to participate in.
