Get started by launching your boat at the Port Newry Boat Ramp. It’s a four-lane boat ramp, complete with a waiting pontoon for easy collection of any passengers you’re taking with you. And you can have a final toilet stop at the ramp before you head off. Once your boat is in the water, perform the necessary safety and equipment checks and then you’re ready to head out about five minutes to the mouth of Victoria Creek where you can cast for barramundi and salmon along the river’s edge. This little spot is best at low or outgoing tide.
