After casting for barramundi and salmon off the creeks, head out to sea for reef fishing and trolling. Make your way towards Newry Island. Beyond the northern point you’ll find great conditions for trolling and casting. If you’re fishing in winter, keep an eye out for schools of bait for your opportunity to chase big fish like mackerel and queenfish. Using live squid and prawn bait, you can anchor up and fish for some reef fish species including tusk fish and coral trout. Alternatively, you can venture around the islands, take in the sights and find the right fishing spot for you and your preferred method.
