Crabs, rainforest, birds – this tour probably encapsulates the very best of Christmas Island. The first stop is The Dales, home to several crab species. Natural springs weave through a mystical rainforest, canopied by gigantic Tahitian Chestnut trees. From there head to The Blowholes- nowhere else on the island are the forces of nature so evident. Rhythmic waves, forcing water through the myriad of eroded cliffs provide a theatrical experience for guests. Then head to the peace and tranquillity of Margaret Knoll to view the rugged coastline from above, with stunning views across the Eastern Coast of the island. Tours depart 9.00 am or 2.00 pm and run for three and a half to four hours in duration, visiting locations such as The Dales, Hugh's Dale Waterfall, Martin Point, The Blowholes and Margaret Knoll. With regards to fitness, good mobility is required as there are steps and uneven ground.
