Head down the West Coast Highway to Scarborough Beach (just a seven-minute drive) and hang ten with the surfers and body boarders. The buzzing beachside cafes and bars are popular among teens and backpackers, and the outdoor amphitheatre regularly hosts events, such as beach cricket. A more family-friendly alternative to Scarborough is City Beach (approximately 14 minutes from Trigg on the West Coast Highway). This pretty white-sand beach offers sheltered swimming as well as a little surf, with grassed areas, barbecues and cafes providing good options for a lazy lunch.
