Head south to the chilled-out seaside town of Coral Bay – the sealed North West Coast Highway gets you there in just over two and a half hours. If you have a Four-Wheel Drive, you can opt to follow the coastal Cardabia Ningaloo Road around the North West Cape to a string of secluded beaches and snorkel spots. Before departure, be sure to stock up on water, food and fuel and call into Exmouth Visitor Centre to check road conditions and tide times for the river crossing at Yardie Creek. Cool off with an afternoon swim or snorkel in the crystal-clear, calm waters of Coral Bay and the inner reef of Ningaloo. Stay at least two nights in Coral Bay.
