Take a morning river cruise, or head up to the lookouts and hike the trails of Kalbarri National Park to gaze in awe at the rugged river gorge and rock formations. For something a little more adventurous, join a camel or horse trek, jump on a quad bike or kayak, or go canyoning and abseiling with a local guide. Deep sea fishing charters are also available from the town. Head back to the coast for an afternoon stroll along the cliff tops. If you’re visiting between June and November, watch for migrating humpback whales and their young calves making the journey to their feeding grounds in the Southern and Antarctic Oceans. Or try your luck at beach fishing to catch your dinner.
