Another 55 kilometres up the coast, on unsealed road, brings you to Gnaraloo’s 90,000-hectare working pastoral station and 65 kilometres of wilderness coastline. It’s usually accessible by two-wheel-drive, but make sure you check current road conditions before you leave. If you have a four-wheel-drive, you can follow the spectacular coastal track from Red Bluff to Three Mile Camp, visiting Turtles surf break and many fantastic snorkelling spots along the way. First-class wind and wave conditions put Gnaraloo and Three Mile Camp on the wish list for keen surfers, kite surfers and windsurfers. It’s also a must-do for nature lovers – offering a wilderness escape with a plethora of marine life, flora and fauna. Take an afternoon swim or snorkel in the sheltered lagoon at Three Mile Camp. Then drive up to Monument Cliffs to watch another spectacular Ningaloo sunset, and look out for kangaroos and emus along the way. Gnaraloo Homestead has a range of self-contained, self-catering accommodation to suit all budgets and for groups of all sizes, while Three Mile Camp offers back-to-basics beachside camping close to the beach and surf.
