Just 20 kilometres north of town lies Geikie Gorge National Park / Danggu. Fitzroy River’s floodwaters carved the 30-meter-deep gorge through Geikie Range. Discover fossils, steep rock walls, fish, crocodiles, and stingrays. Swim off sandbanks, and spot river gum trees, mangroves, figs, bats, and diverse birdlife.
