Grab some fresh picnic supplies from Denmark and take the 30-minute drive north via Scotsdale Road to Mount Lindesay National Park. Here, a spectacular nine-kilometre walking track leads through jarrah scrub and mallee heath filled with tree hovea, acacia, numerous orchids and many wildflower species found nowhere else in the world. You can also climb to the top of the granite domes to take in sweeping views across the Wilson Inlet, Bennet Range, Mount Frankland, Walpole Wilderness and Porongurup Range. Less than 45 minutes’ drive south, you’ll be back on the southern coast at the stunningly beautiful William Bay National Park. Take an afternoon swim or snorkel in one of nature’s most inviting swimming pools, Greens Pool, and a scenic coastal walk to see the bathing granite giants at Elephant Rocks. Amongst the dense coastal scrubland, dryandra and peppermint trees, the white blossoms of the sticky tailflower can be found. Return to Denmark for gourmet dinner delights and an overnight stay.
