Heading west, a scenic 40-minute drive brings you to the famous Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk. This extraordinary walkway (the first of its kind ever built) elevates you to a height of 40 metres above the forest floor, affording breathtaking views of the Walpole Wilderness Area and its gigantic 400-year-old tingle trees. Back on ground level, take some time to see the forest from another perspective along the Ancient Empire Walk. In spring, the forest is ablaze with crowea, orchids, purple native hovea, wisteria and green kangaroo paw. Picnic in the tingle trees or head to the picturesque Nornalup Inlet where the forest meets the sea. Make the four-hour-40-minute return journey to Perth via Manjimup, or explore more wildflowers of the South West by joining the Jarrahland Trail.
