Stay an extra night to explore the outer reef on a sea kayak, dive charter or snorkel tour for a swim with the turtles and graceful manta rays. Some of the biggest thrills can be had between March and July when humpback whales and whale sharks visit the outer reef. Local tour companies will take you out to see the humpback whales on their annual migration, or you can join a full-day tour to experience the exhilaration of swimming with whale sharks – the biggest fish in the ocean. You can also try catching your own dinner on a deep-sea fishing charter, or choose from a small selection of cafes and restaurants.
