A one-hour drive north-east of Coral Bay on Minilya and Bukett Road brings you to Giralia Station for some true outback hospitality in the tranquillity of the bush. This former sheep station is surrounded by masses of wildflowers after good winter rains and makes an interesting overnight stop, with camping, farm stay or basic cabin accommodation in the shearers’ quarters. Spend your afternoon on the bushwalking trails or, if you have a boat in tow, take a fishing trip to secluded Giralia Bay to chase mackerel, red emperor, snapper, spangled emperor, mangrove Jack, bream and trevally. End the day by the campfire, gazing up at a star-filled outback sky.
