Experience barramundi fishing with a qualified and experienced guide. Learn the techniques to hook a barramundi in the unique Lower Ord River system. Enjoy the thrill of the catch of Australia's famous sportfish. The guide will collect you from your accommodation in Kununurra or you can self-drive (four-wheel drive) to Hairy Dog's Fishing Camp set up bush-style on the banks of the Lower Ord River. Here you transfer to the barramundi fishing boats and traverse the shallow rockbars and rapids in search of the elusive barramundi. There is lots of tropical scenery, wildlife, birdlife and crocodiles that coexist with northern fish species including barramundi, western sooty grunter, silver jewfish, various catfish, sharks and on rare occasions a mangrove jack. Enjoy your bush surrounds while having a fresh salad and cold meat lunch. Snacks, fruit and cool drinks are also supplied. Visitors need to bring a shady hat, sunblock, camera to catch the action.
