Spend your morning exploring Manjimup’s extensive forests and national parks. Gaze up in awe at some of the largest hardwood trees on Earth, including the Four Aces and the 600-year-old King Jarrah tree. At ground level, you’ll also find a profusion of sarsaparilla, coral vine, holly flame pea, morning iris and Lomandra pauciflora. Alternatively, enjoy the tranquil setting of Fonty's Pool, the Donnelly River and Glenoran Pool. The premium cool-climate wine region of Pemberton is under half an hour’s drive from Manjimup and is the perfect stop for lunch and dinner. For some of the most breathtaking forest vantage points, scale Pemberton's climbing trees. Originally used as fire lookouts in the 1940s, the largest (known as the Gloucester Tree) stands at 61 metres. From town and the nearby Gloucester National Park, several walking tracks, including the Bibbulmun, The Cascades and the Munda Biddi Bike Trail, lead you through the karri trees, orchids, Hovea, coral vine and Clematis.
