A Get Wet two-hour beginner surf lesson is for participants 13 years and above and provides the opportunity to experience the thrill of surfing in the safest and easiest way. Lessons are held on the magnificent Spit Beach, away from the busy tourist beaches. The Spit is a haven for locals and is well known for being the best place for beginners to experience surfing. A few brief instructions: They get you out in the water as soon as possible with the lowest participant-to-instructor ratio in Australia (5 students: 1 instructor). Lessons are every day of the week, with more scheduled in peak times. Children's group lessons are held separately with a lower ratio to ensure maximum safety. Joining a group of like-minded people looking for something new to try is always loads of fun. They get you down to the beach and then run through some basic steps that will have you standing up on your board in no time!
