In the sheltered waters of Shoalwater Islands Marine Park at Rockingham, approximately 50 kilometres south of Perth, visitors can swim with wild dolphins in their natural habitat. There are also kayak and boat trips to Seal and Penguin Island available, where dolphins, sea lions and penguins can be seen. Afterwards, continue to the coastal town of Bunbury, where you can learn more about the wild but friendly dolphins of Koombana Bay at the Dolphin Discovery Centre. Here, visitors can swim with the free-living dolphins, be it on a guided boat tour or swimming on the shores of the bay. The first day of the journey ends with a visit to Busselton Jetty. Standing at nearly two-kilometres out to sea, it is the longest wooden-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. Stroll or take a ride in the new electric Jetty Train over the waters of Geographe Bay to the Underwater Observatory. Stay overnight in Busselton.
