Start your day by walking a section of the stunning Cape to Cape Track, which runs for 136 kilometres between Cape Naturaliste in Dunsborough to Cape Leeuwin in Augusta. At certain times of the year, you might even spot whales from lookout points along the trail. Between September and December, southern right and humpback whales rest in the calm waters of Geographe Bay with their young on their southern migration. Visitors can also experience a whale watching tour off the coast of Dunsborough to see the giants of the ocean up close. Located 20 kilometres from Cape Naturaliste is the coastal town of Yallingup. Here, you will find Ngilgi Cave, one of more than 150 limestone caves lining the Leeuwin-Naturalise National Park. For a little cultural enlightenment, let a local Aboriginal guide lead you on a guided torch-lit walk through the formations and mystical legends of the cave. Travelling along Caves Road, the journey continues further into the Margaret River region, known for its excellent wines, local delicacies, fabulous beaches and excellent surfing spots. Here, you will find a wide range of wineries, cheese dairies, microbreweries, olive farms, chocolate factories and gourmet restaurants offering fresh and regional products of the highest quality. Make a stop at one of the many wineries located on Caves Road, and enjoy a wine tasting and gourmet meal overlooking rolling vineyards. Finish the day with a spectacular sunset at Surfer's Point, one of the area's most popular surfing beaches. Stay overnight at Margaret River.
