Take a glass-bottom boat tour and watch the diverse underwater world, relax on dreamlike beaches like Turquoise Bay and snorkel in the colourful coral gardens of Ningaloo Marine Park. The area is also a paradise for divers as there are excellent dive sites besides Ningaloo Reef, including the Muiron Islands or the Exmouth Navy Pier. The pier is regularly voted one of the ten best dive sites in the world and is accessible from the beach. You can also experience the once-in-a-lifetime thrill of swimming with the largest fish in the ocean on a whale shark swim tour between March and September. Or, join one of the many outer-reef snorkelling tours that operate year round, offering close encounters with Ningaloo’s diverse marine life. Located 50 kilometres from Exmouth, Cape Range National Park not only offers unspoilt, snow-white beaches along the coast, but also breathtakingly deep gorges and limestone formations in the interior. Yardie Creek is a must for hikers and nature lovers. If possible, book a boat tour to see the rare black-footed wallabies on the steep cliffs. Enduring hikers can tackle the two-kilometre round trail through the red canyon. The road into the National Park will take you to Yardie Creek, and the campsites on the coast can be reached with a regular rental car or small motorhome. For those who want to cross Yardie Creek to advance further into the National Park, a four-wheel drive vehicle or a four-wheel camper is required. Alternatively, you can also participate in a guided tour of the National Park from Exmouth.
